An absolutely FANTASTIC stay. The cabin was gorgeous, and the extras were thoughtful and gracious. We loved the view, the record player, the abundance of kitchen crockery and cooking supplies, and the gifted wine and snacks. Couldn't have been more enjoyable or luxurious. A beautiful, serene setting on Eagle Mountain. I was stunned by the drive up to this property and even more amazed at the quality of craftsmanship taken to preserve this historic cabin. The screen porch was my favorite place to hang out during the week there.

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin! The views of the lake and surrounding bluffs were absolutely stunning — the perfect backdrop for a peaceful getaway. The cabin itself was spotless and clearly well cared for. Everything was clean and fresh when we arrived, which made it feel instantly welcoming. It was also well-stocked with all the essentials — from linens and toiletries to kitchen supplies. We appreciated having everything we needed to cook meals without having to bring much from home. Overall, this cabin exceeded our expectations. The combination of natural beauty, comfort, and thoughtful amenities made for a perfect retreat. Highly recommended

This was one of our most relaxing family getaways. We love the outdoors and this place is perfect. The kids enjoyed riding their bikes around the circle drive and spent lot of time in the hot tub. The screened in porch was fabulous. Perfect way to enjoy a rainy afternoon playing games and making some good food. The kids didn’t want to leave and on our way home they asked if we can come back next summer 💕💯

David’s beautifully-restored log cabin is a very special place! It’s set on a wooded lot with an expansive view of the Mississippi River. It’s in a lovely and peaceful setting with outdoor seating and dining sets provided on the decks and in the yard, and a new hot tub. The interior is wonderful! Comfortable beds, linens, and furnishings, fully-equipped kitchen, enhanced by fine paintings and interesting artifacts. A fire pit and kids’ treehouse are other great amenities. My husband and I found that our two-night stay was too short! We hope to return sometime later this year. Thanks, David.

This is the most stunning home. The view was incredible, the house was very clean and beautifully furnished. They had a nice welcome basket on the counter. Everything was above and beyond our expectations, it was great!

We have no expectations, just wanted a relaxing weekend. But this place was breathtaking and very relaxing view. The cabin was very beautiful, organized and huge. I have no words but its a 5 star my friends saw my post in social media they been asking me where is this place and they want to rent here too. Ofcourse I Will recommend it. What ever we needed, its all here actually more than we needed. David is such a great host and would like to thank him for letting us stay here. Hopefully we can visit again here on fall if there’s availability and if David will let us.

Had a positively lovely weekend at David's cabin! Cabin itself was pristinely cleaned and oozes with history, beds were comfy, and there's ample space to spread out and relax around the house. The real sell is the views of the Mississippi bluffs and they do not disappoint, absolutely gorgeous setting to spend time with friends or enjoy a soak in the hot tub. Would absolutely recommend a stay and will likely be back ourselves.

100% recommend staying here. I am blown away. First the view is breathtaking, there are so many different spots in the cabin, where you can see the trees , the river and the beautiful pond in the backyard. The cabin itself is gorgeous. The decor, the furniture, the linen, everything was perfect. The atmosphere was so quiet and peaceful . The hot tub was perfect . The beds were very comfortable, so were the couches to lounge on. Everything you could think of in the kitchen ,the linens were soft and cozy. They also provided items that you might have forgotten, like cotton spots, and dental floss. I just cannot get over how beautiful the setting was, if you are debating, staying here I would definitely recommend it. The host is very responsive and quick to reply with any questions or concerns you might ask . And even provided a link for fun things to do around the cabin if you choose to leave which to be honest, I found it very hard to. Will definitely be back.
